The surgery was yesterday morning. I spent the rest of the day in a haze of Valium and vodka martinis, listening to Flanders & Swann and Noel Coward songs. Fine? Darlings, I was MARVELLOUS.
This morning, my parents were kind enough not to mention my late-night, off-key singalong to Coward's "Why do the wrong people travel?".
I now have better than 20/20 vision. This is the best thing I have ever done. Except possibly the time I stole the "no man to man dancing" sign from that Philippine brothel.
