"Why Dogs Howl" Nominated As Best Video of Last Year
Yeah, I'm pretty stunned too. I mean, I love it, but it's an aggressively minimalist video filmed in my front room for £200 after I'd been mainlining too much Andy Warhol and Jan Svankmajer. Not what you'd call a crowd-pleaser. But bless the people at Scottish music magazine isthismusic, they've nominated my video for Thomas Truax's "Why Dogs Howl At The Moon" as one of the best videos of 2007. Thank you, lovely isthismusic people!
The winner will be chosen via this poll, so if you have a spare moment and could cast a vote our way, Thomas and I would much appreciate it.
I'm planning another video with Thomas in the spring, my first time filming in New York City. It will be as weird, but not as minimalist.

Alive, Mostly, And Swearing At Final Cut
THIS is where I've been recently:
That, and the three other music videos, the three-part web interview (not of me), and the circus showreel (not mine).
Stay tuned; good things will be percolating up to my Youtube site over the next month. Meanwhile, off to London tomorrow to shoot two more videos.
(I had to dust the snow off the satellite dish before I could send this. Ah, the joys of rural New England. The snow seems to be falling upwards at the moment, or maybe just north of sideways - in any case, in some distinctly non-Newtonian direction.)
